On Wednesday, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) released an official statement that it’s ready to disband itself in the Eastern Ghouta region near Damascus. The stated goal is to form an entity comprising all militant groups in the “central sector” of Syria.
HTS claimed that the decision was a result of popular demands and called on civilians in Eastern Ghouta to support a unified entity project aimed at thwarting reconciliation plans.

HTS has always attacked international agreements and any peaceful solution, and it’s believed that the real purpose of this step is to thwart the de-escalation agreement in Eastern Ghouta.
Furthermore, Jaysh al-Islam had previously declared that it was ready to disband itself in order to form a unified entity in Eastern Ghouta. Thus, HTS may be planning to take control over the unified entity and to absorb Jaysh al-Islam instead of fighting it. HTS has repeatedly used the same approach in the province of Idlib.
This step is one of several decisions took by HTS to fight any peaceful solution in any region in Syria, Where HTS aims to establish an Islamic state in all of Syria that follows the ideology of Al-Qaeda.
HTS want to be the self-called subsequent armed group of ISIS in Syria. Very good that ISIS is cut off from HTS and much more important is to purge all ISIS regions in Syria and Iraq consequently (by death bodies) to avoid the pouring in of ISIS member over Turkey into Idlib province some weeks later.
What a stupid group. They think they will get the power by force but they are only destroying their own homeland. Even if they have the power, they will be so weak. USA will drone them like in Afghanistan. What will they achieve for Syria ? Nothing. They have no ideas for Syria.
These sort of groups are supported by USA in order to USA to fight them after and control the region. But, they are too stupid to understand it.
USA can’t fight against SAA. So, they let others to do so. When your own people is a threat, it begins to be very bad. That’s why all sunnies countries live in “dictatorship”.
Sunnies + separatists = combo of destruction.
Assad did a great job to unite Syrians but it seems that Syrians don’t want to build a country.
Don’t think HTS will unify with JAI, especially after infighting in late April.
HTS wants to disappear and reappear like some magic trick a little sleight of hnd , and OH its the new Rebel group against Syrian government , this must be some lame attempt by the US Public Relation Firms again! We are in for another US shit show let’s brace ourselves for it!
