Heavy Clashes Between Syrian Army, ISIS In Western Deir Ezzor

Heavy clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and ISIS had taken place in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on August 27.

The SAA, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Liwa al-Quds, launched a combing operation in the region earlier this week. ISIS remnants are the main target of the operation.

A day earlier, the SOHR reported that a joint group of the NDF and Liwa al-Quds was lost in the desert of al-Mayadin city while taking part in the operation.

The London-based monitoring group said contact was lost with a second unit, consisting of NDF fighters and their commander, on August 27.

Communication failure and errors in navigation were likely behind the disappearance of the two groups. However, ISIS terrorists may be also responsible.

ISIS cells have been very active in western Deir Ezzor. The terrorists are sneaking into the region from their strongholds in the nearby Homs desert. U.S.-backed fighters in al-Tanaf garrison are arming and supplying the terrorists, according to several reports.

ISIS is not your problem, we are. Still no comment about your Hezbollah failed attack? if we had a PM with courage then he would have ordered to bomb your shias like they deserve. It’s not over…yet.

<>

Okay, it doesn’t matter anyway because you failed and Bibi didn’t want to kill your terrorist squad. We will meet sooner or later Ali, I hope you know that.

“‘No other territory can be controlled by Syrian regime’: US envoy

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:40 P.M.) – The U.S. Special Representative for Syria, James Jewffrey, said that the Syrian authorities under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad will not be able to achieve any new gains on the ground by military means.

Jewffrey said, in a statement made on Wednesday during a visit to Ankara: “The military phase of this conflict must end. No other territory can be controlled by the regime.” https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/no-other-territory-can-be-controlled-by-syrian-regime-us-envoy/

No wonder ISIS has been so active in the areas surrounding the US terrorist invaders’ base in Tanf and the invasion zone east of the Euphrates. Time for more “partnership and business” with the global Ziocorporate terrorists??

Jens Holm

Those 2 things are not connected at all.

ISIS also are not supported by USA.

shylockracy

Yes, Einstein, nothing is connected, not even your neurons, and US only supports royal headchoppers like Ziodi Wahhabia, thanks for the bright enlightenment.

Jens Holm

They do support SDF, dont they. They do support Bagdads.

Jens Holm

We see the same again and again. Assad and Co send their spendable into professionel very well prepared trap.

My hopes are they at least hit one or two ISIS now and then.Maybee Assads and Russians think the Palestinian&Assads units has become too big …..

Fog of War

How can they be puitting up any resistance ? Didnt Russia just announce they killed over 300 ISIS and destroyed numerous hideouts and ammo dumps. How is resistance possible in open desert after such a supposed thrashing ? Unless Russia lied of course.

Jens Holm

Its as You assume. You have to filters for all information.

Sometimes its possible to get information AFTER battles. Many did calculations when ISIS hopefully for the last time took Palmyra.

Here Assads told 2000 had attacked them, but the professional calculaters estimated as 500 to 600. ISIS was well planned and they attcked through a sandstorm, where the Assad troops was not coordinated and the infantery was simple milisa. Those troops also was not ordered by any to any repair and rebuild of the defence lines. It was calculated by the Assad Leaders, that ISIS was defeated in that regions even all others knew ISIS are highly mobile troops as well as they have many well prepared depots.

I can recommend You to look at maps for Syria. A good illustrative for Syria is Michelin maps in the detailed versions. It says that there are mountain areas and it seemes ISIS more or less have them and use them. Some do forget Syria is much bigger, then many think.

Parts of the Syrian deserts actaully are steppe and people in dots can live there even they remain poor. They do have water for themselves and sheep and goats but there is no water for fx irrigation apart for some vegatabilies and help for olivebushes.

It here the joke sometimes is true. If there hardly is any water ots onæy for drinking and food. .

Deir Ezzor is the new Aleppo?
