Last evening and night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 410 artillery projectiles and mines on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the FAN news agency reported, citing sources in the DPR security agencies.

The Ukrainian Army shelled areas in the vicinity of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Dokuchaevsk, including the villages of Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka, Staromykhailivka, Elenovka, Zaytsevo and Ozeryanovka villages near Gorlovka, as well as Kuibyshev district of the capital of the republic.

An exchange of artillery fire between Ukrainian soldiers and fighters of the DPR People’s Militia was spotted near the village of Staromykhailivka. Members of the People’s Militia filmed a video, showing the exchange of fire.

According to the DPR security agencies, the Ukrainian Army used weapons of infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms during the shelling.

In the last couple of days, the number of shelling attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces sharply increased. However, this fact did not change anything at the front.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian authorities once again expressed a desire to exchange prisoners according to the principle ‘everyone on everyone’. But, taking into account that the Ukrainian side has been talking about this since February 2015, and still not all prisoners have been exchanged, there are big doubts that this time the exchange will be implemented fully.

At the same time, negotiations in Minsk, which were held yesterday, once again brought nothing. As usually, the sides ‘agreed to negotiate further’.
