On February 19, the Russian military repelled six more Ukrainian counterattacks close to the Haichur River in Zaporizhzhia, inflicting more losses on Kiev forces.
Ukraine’s 95th Rifle Division, 225th Separate Assault Regiment, and 154th Mechanized Brigade attempted to advance close to the settlements of Alexandrovka, Otradnoe, Hai, Staroukrainka, and Zalishchnoe, taking advantage of bad weather conditions. All of the counterattacks were, however, repelled by the Russian military’s Vostok [East] Group of Forces.
The reconnaissance units of the Vostok Group of Forces detected all counterattacks early on. Kiev forces were then liberated by the group’s drone units, which employed first-person view (FPV) suicide quadcopters and Lancet loitering munitions.
While attempting to advance, Kiev forces lost a company of troops, in addition to six armors, including three BTR-type vehicles, and five motor vehicles.
The Vostok Group of Forces also carried out air and artillery strikes against positions and gatherings of the Ukrainian formations that took part in the counter attacks in Novoselovka, Komsomolskoe, Alexandrovka, and Lyubitskoe, as well as to the north of Rizdvyanka, and to the southwest of Zalishchnoe.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense estimated Ukrainian losses caused by the Vostok Group of Forces in the last 24 hours to be “375 troops, seven armoured fighting vehicles, 13 motor vehicles, two MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) vehicles, including one Czech-made Vampire MLRS, two artillery guns, and one electronic warfare station.”
Ukraine began launching coordinated counterattacks near the Haichur last week after bringing large reinforcements, including several assault formations and foreign mercenary groups.
So far, these counterattacks have been costly, and largely ineffective. The scale of the last wave in particular shows that the formations involved have begun to lose their combat capabilities.
It’s worth noting that the Vostok Group of Forces didn’t stop its advance despite facing more pressure from Kiev forces. The group expanded its control to the west and northwest of the key city of Huliaipole in a notable way in recent days, even capturing Krinichnoye.
The resources lost during recent counterattacks will likely further weaken Ukrainian defenses in Zaporizhzhia, which could facilitate faster Russian advance in the region by spring.

every loss under 100 useful idiots is a victory for the usadmin and its nato poodles in ukraine. some of the nato poodles are no longer yapping. they got buried in their own shit. it’s only a matter of time, lives, and the extent of the greed of the kiev junta, before a capitulation is reached. agreements have already been tried to no avail.
dumb and dumber by design. everyone s going to lose its a revolution only a few protected well by their innocence will survive intact. the few who are above suspicion to most. everyone else will lose their lives their families kids grandkids stuff everything. trust beliefs self worth even sanity really, they will be so traumatised if they survive.
