Hezbollah attacked on June 27 the Naqoura naval site of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) near Lebanon’s border with a number of suicide drone.
The attack was carried out in support of the “steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and to support their brave and honorable resistance,” the group said in a statement, adding that facilities housing Israeli soldiers and officers within the targeted site were hit and a fire broke out there.
The IDF confirmed at least one drone struck the coastal area where the naval site is located. Hebrew media also said that a fire erupted in the site after the attack. However, there were no reports of any casualties.
The attack came following a series of Israeli strikes that targeted Lebanon’s South and Beqaa governorates, causing some losses.
Late on June 26, an Israeli strike destroyed a two-story building in the southern town of Nabatieh, wounding at least five civilians.
And a few hours before Hezbollah launched its drone attack on June 27 an Israeli drone strike hit a motorcycle in the Beqaa town of Sohmor. Hezbollah later confirmed that one of his fighters, a native of Sohmor, was killed in the strike. The IDF is yet to provide any details on the strikes and other recent attacks on Lebanon.
The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza last October, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.
So far, the border clashes have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 15 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 500 people have been killed, including 331 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 90 civilians.

zzz. you’re making some good points. the problem is that most of us on here recognise that russia has a number of russian jews in israel whom she doesn’t want to antagonize since they support russia against ukraine. the israeli government has to keep the russian israelis onside by not supporting ukraine. i don’t agree with russian policy in the levant but i understand why.
