Hezbollah launched on November 9 two more attacks against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from southern Lebanon in support of the Gaza Strip.
In two separate statements, Hezbollah said that its fighters fired a number of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) at the Metula military site, damaging two Merkava main battle tanks of the IDF and killing or wounding their crews.
The group said in another statement that its fighters attacked a mechanized infantry unit of the IDF near the town of Tarbikha with rockets
The attacks were carried out “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance,” Hezbollah said in its statements.

From its side, the IDF said that it struck two Hezbollah ATGM squads in southern Lebanon, near the Biranit military base and the northern community of Yiftah.
The IDF also revealed that Hezbollah fighters opened fire at one of its drones over the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms during the day. In response, another drone struck the source of the air defense fire, and artillery shelled the area, according to the IDF.
In addition, the IDF released footage of strikes that targeted two rocket launchers in southern Lebanon in response to an indirect fire attack that target northern Israel.
Lebanese media reported a drone strike on the vicinity of the town of Muhaibib. It also said that a series of artillery strikes hit the towns and areas of Wadi Hunin, Markaba, Kafr Kila, Burj al-Muluk, al-Khayyam, Marjayoun, Ramia, Yarin, al-Jabin, al-Hammas and Abel al-Qamh. There were no casualties however.
Clashes on the Lebanese front broke out following the October 7 Hamas-led surprise attack against Israel. Hezbollah and its allies have been launching attacks against the IDF ever since.
As of November 9, the clashes on the Lebanese front have claimed the lives of nine Israelis -six soldiers and three civilians-, 60 fighters of Hezbollah, two fighters from the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, seven Palestinian fighters -three from the Hamas Movement and four from the Islamic Jihad- and eleven Lebanese civilians -two shepherds, a teenager, three elderly, three children and two journalists-.
