Hezbollah attacked on April 27 key sites of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) using anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), suicide drones and rockets.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it launched ATGMs and suicide drones at the al-Manara settlement, targeting the IDF’s headquarters there and a site belonging to the 51st Infantry Battalion “HaBok’im HaRishon” of the elite 1st Infantry Brigade “Golani”. Video footage released later by the group showed two Iranian-made Almas missiles impacting the settlement.
The group announced later in another statement that it had fired dozens of “Katyusha” rockets at the settlement of Meron and nearby settlements.
The IDF said that 26 rockets crossed the border, causing no damage or injuries. However, there were no interceptions. Hebrew media later reported that a key radar station at the IDF’s air traffic control base on Mount Meron was hit and a soldier was wounded there.
The two attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip as well as in response to recent Israeli strikes on the southern Lebanese towns of Kfar Kila, Kfar Shuba, Al-Qawzah, Markba and Sarbin, Hezbollah noted in its separate statements.
At least 14 civilians, 12 Lebanese and two Syrians, were wounded as a result of an Israeli strike on Sarbin. Lebanese media said that two of them were in a life threatening condition.
In response to the attacks, the IDF said on April 28 that its fighter jets struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon overnight.
The targets included a building used by the group and other infrastructure in the town of Maroun al-Ras, infrastructure in the town of Tayr Harfa, and another building in the town of Yarine, according to the IDF, which released video footage of the strikes. There were no reports of casualties.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza last October, Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Strip.
So far, the clashes have resulted in nine civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 11 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 400 people have been killed, including 271 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 70 civilians.

the “israel” side said 4-5 times openly that they have control that small town, they never did during the whole 2006 war. 90% of idf don’t die on the frontline/during fighting as well… they lie and hide their death. if you forgot “israel” wants to be seem as the stronger one, they will never stop lying. like ukraine…
