On January 26, Hezbollah shelled the Maale Golan Barracks of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) along the border with Lebanon.

In two separate statements, the group said its fighters fired several Falaq-1 heavy rockets as well as a barrage of Katyusha rockets at the barracks and nearby gatherings of Israeli troops.

Iran produces a heavy rocket called the Falaq-1, with a range of ten kilometers and a warhead weighing 50 kg, but it is still unclear if this was the weapon used by Hezbollah. Meanwhile, the term Katyusha is usually used in the Middle East to describe lighter rockets, often the Iranian-made Fajr-1, which has a range of nine kilometers and an eight kilogram warhead.

Hezbollah announced in another statement that its fighters had targeted a gathering of Israeli troops in Honen Castle using “suitable weapons.

The attacks were “to support the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance,” the group noted its statements.

The IDF and Hebrew media confirmed that several rockets were fired from southern Lebanon, but didn’t report any casualties.

In response to recent attacks, The IDF said that it carried out strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. Israeli fighter jets struck a building used by the group in the town Bint Jbeil, and last another building was struck in the town Khiam. There were no reports of casualties.

Separately, Hezbollah’s Military Media released drone footage of an IDF Iron Dome air defense site near the northern Israeli settlement of Kfar Blum. The group attacked the site with suicide drones a day earlier. The IDF didn’t report any losses, however.

The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.

So far, the clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border have resulted in six civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of nine IDF soldiers. On the Lebanese side, more than 200 have been killed. The toll includes 156 Hezbollah fighters, 14 of whom were killed in Syria, 28 Palestinians, a Lebanese soldier, and at least 24 civilians.

the us and israel can’t invade these countries because it would be lost for both side – but really a victory for their enemy as they fight a bigger power (we are talking about us really not israel).
