Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets from Lebanon at Israel on October 12, causing some damage and a few casualties.
In separate statements, the group said it shelled several gatherings of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in sites and settlements along Lebanon borders as well as targets located deeper into northern Israel, including the city of Tiberias, a military-industrial complex in the area of Zevulon, a communications base in the settlement of Keren Naftali and an explosives factory located in Base 7200 to the east of the port city of Haifa.
Two attacks with suicide drones also targeted the settlement of Ein Margaliot and an air defense base in the settlement of Kiryat Elazar to the west of Haifa, according to the group.
The IDF acknowledged that more than 80 rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel by the afternoon of October 12.
The military said that many of the rockets were intercepted by its air defenses. Despite this, Hebrew media reported several impacts as well as damage. Two people were also wounded by rocket fire at the Mak’r intersection near the city of Acre.
The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, with Hezbollah launching attacks in support of the Palestinian enclave. Israel escalated its attacks on Lebanon starting from September 17 and on September 27 it assassinated the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nassrallah.
The IDF officially announced the launch of a limited ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on September 30.
Since the start of the operation, Israeli troops have not yet made any real gains in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah rocket attack have been increasing.
The confrontation has so far resulted in 29 civilian deaths in Israel and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights as well as the deaths of at least 34 soldiers and security officers. On the Lebanese side, more than 2,255 people have been killed, including more than 500 members of Hezbollah.

i think it is a mistake to equate iran with iraq. much different landscape in the region today than in 2003-2013.
that’s true as iran will be finished even faster then iraq as iraq was testing ground for these operations and proof of concept but iran will be only repeating of the lessons learned.
and by the way, my concern is not about the fact if u.s. win or not. u.s. can be defeated in long term as in iraq and afghanistan, it doesn’t matter, what matters is that iran will be bombed to ashes and another unwanted 40millions jihadists will flee to europe. as always.
