On Saturday, Hezbollah captured Qurnat Wadi al-Khail and Qurnat al-Qunzah heights in Jorud Arsal, as well as, Jiwar al-Shih Wadi Kriti area, Dulayl al-Abyad and Surj al-Qwesef, south of Jorud Arsal in the Syrian-Lebanese border area. Moreover, Hezbollah continued its advance to the east of Jorud Arsal, where it seized the heights of Dahr al-Safa, Dalil al-Khail and the Al-Azaba area.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah continued their operation in Jorud Flitah in western Qalamoun, where they managed to capture the Koura 2 height and Qurnat Khirbet al-Jiwar, Al-Dalil al-Aswad, Harf Wadi Al-Awaini and Al-Shajara. They also imposed a fire control over strategic area of Wadi al-Awaini, located in Jorud Flitah.

Hezbollah fighters destroyed a vehicle of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) with an ATGM on Wadi Hamid road near the logistical and military support building of HTS, while it was heading to Jorud Arsal. Artillery and rocket launchers of the SAA and Hezbollah shelled HTS positions and fortifications.
Syrian Air Force warplanes carried out five air strikes on HTS positions in Jorud Flitah inside the Syrian territory. The Hezbollah media wing in Syria published a video showing Hezbollah fighters capturing the strategic Dahr al-Hwa height in Jorud Arsal.
According to pro-government and opposition sources, 15 Hezbollah fighters have been killed in the battle so far. HTS has reportedly captured a Hezbollah fighter.
In turn, 48 HTS fighters have been killed in the battle. Moreover 6 HTS groups and 200 fighters from Saraiah Ahl Al-Sham have surrendered to Hezbollah in Jorud Arsal.
All Lebanese parties supported the current operation of Hezbollah in Jorud Arsal because of the continued terrorist threat from HTS and ISIS fighters at the Syrian-Lebanese border. The Lebanese Army is currently working to secure Hezbollah’s rear and prevent any terrorist from infiltrating the safe areas.
