Hezbollah Mourns Nasrallah Presumed Successor

File image.

Hezbollah mourned on October 23 its senior leader Hashem Safieddine who was presumed to be the successor of the group’s late Secretary-General Hasaan Nasrallah.

The acknowledgement came a day after the Israeli military said that it was sure Safieddine, who headed Hezbollah’s executive council, was killed alongside the head of the group’s intelligence division, Hussein Ali Hazima, during a strike on October 4.

The strike hit what the military described as “an underground intelligence headquarters” of Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. More than 25 members of the group’s intelligence division were at the headquarters when the strike was carried out, including other top commanders, according to the military.

Following the assassination of Nasrallah on September 27, it was reported that his maternal cousin Safieddine became the de-facto Secretary-General of Hezbollah. However, this was never officially confirmed by Hezbollah.

In a lengthy statement, Hezbollah paid tribute to Safieddine, describing him as a “great leader and esteemed martyr on the path to al-Quds.” Safieddine was also praised by the group as Nasrallah’s loyal brother, supporter, and the bearer of his banner.

“He was his brother, his right hand, his trusted companion in hardships, and his trustee in times of difficulty,” the statement reads.

The group also reaffirmed in the statement that it will remain committed to the path of resistance, vowing to achieve freedom and victory.

Safieddine’s death was a significant loss for Hezbollah. Nevertheless, it does not appear to have affected the group’s operational capabilities.

Hezbollah continues to escalate its attacks against Israel to support the Gaza Strip and defend Lebanon as it had done for nearly a year before the assassinations of Nasrallah and Safieddine.

it is still ok. when they can mourn their wannabe commanders. it means they still have time for useless things. the right challenge will come when they don’t know what to do first. whether to run away or go into israeli captivity, or sh*t themself

it is nutteryahoo calling for an urgent change of trousers. hezbollah and the houthis have both tried to take him out within a few days. the houthis targeted his plane as it was landing and hezbollah blew up his house. 2 close shaves. 3rd time lucky. that’s what happens when you open pandora’s box. targeted murders are now okay. little benjy is the one sh***ing himself. genocider-in-chief harlevy only escaped by the skin of his teeth ……

when hezbollah drones barbecued 100 kiddie killers in the canteen attack. sauce for the goose. ditto booby trapped pagers. it is now perfectly okay to booby trap everyday civilian objects. but listen to shlomo squeal when he is on the receiving end.
