On December 5, the media wing of Lebanese Hezbollah released photos of Israeli soldiers conducting military activities along the separation line with Lebanon as a part of Operation Northern Shield, which was launched by the Israeli military two days ago to uncover and neutralize any tunnel from Lebanon.
The photos show Israeli engineering vehicles digging and soldiers using what appears to be a ground-penetrating radar to scan an area along separation line. Other soldiers can be seen taking offensive positions.

Since the start of Operation Northern Shilled, the Israeli military has managed to find a single tunnel, which allegedly starts in the Lebanese town of Kafr Kela and penetrates 40 meters into Israel near northern town of Metulla.
Earlier, an official of Hezbollah warned Israel from launching any military operation inside Lebanon and stressed that the “resistance” will response to any such aggression.
Despite that Operation Northern Shilled has been limited to Israel territory so far, there is a serious concern that it may spark a new armed conflict between Lebanon and Israel.

The UNIFIL has not confirmed the existence of any tunnel(s). Only Israel claims so.
Israel – who has violated Lebanese sea and airspace daily for the past twelve years non-stop – claims that Hezbollah violates UN Resolution 1701 (which was set in place after Israel’s defeat against Hezbollah in 2006) in building said tunnels.
So far, Israel has only provided a video where two men, dressed as civilians, walk through a narrow passage. Nothing indicates who the two men are or where the said tunnel is:

Israel is doing the right thing by getting rid of any tunnels. Have to admit they should be punching back at the tunnel creators. Destroying the tunnel just encourages the creation of more tunnels.
If Israel does not want Hezbollah for crossing into its territory then maybe they should stop Lebanese airspace AS IF IT IS THEIR OWN!

When did I advocate for more Israeli military action. Thought we both agree the tunnels must be stopped in the interest of peace. Killing those responsible with an armed drone or bot will discourage those bent on creating more tunnels. Even more importantly it will prevent the deaths that will occur in Lebanon if a tunnel is used for an attack on either Israel or Lebanon.
Your point that tunnels by Israel into Lebanon are a great way for Israel to attack. Unfortunately Lebanon has no technology to detect and stop that potential Israeli attack.

The Terror Tunnel theatre isn’t even going over that well in Israel. I suppose Israelis are right to be skeptical. I can’t imagine they’re honestly worried about some imaginary Hezbollah sneak attack with ground troops invading Galilee through tunnels, FFS. What would even be the point of doing that today? The old Kornets have a range of 5000 m or so – I don’t think a 200 m tunnel is even worth the effort.
The average Israeli is probably a bit more concerned about provoking a shower of Hezbollah missiles on strategic targets like Tel Aviv or Dimona – but I’m only guessing, here.
tunnel or no tunnel(s) the salient fact is that israel has forfeited its right to remain a sovereign state and that has been the case for the last 70 years. the only reasonable way forward for the world is that each and every country which at one stage recognized israel now retracts such recognition, or with other words DE-RECOGNIZES the state of israel and demand that the land stolen is returned to the rightful owners, the Palestinians. Moreover, forbid all economic funding from abroad into israel (and the cookie will crumble) and in combination with the BDS-movement, israel’s end is nigh! yeahhhh
