On February 8, Hezbollah attacked several Israeli military sites and settlements on the border with Lebanon using rockets and other weapons.
A non-commissioned officer of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) was seriously wounded and two more soldiers were slightly hurt when Hezbollah fighters targeted the headquarters of the 769th Territorial Brigade “Hiram” of the 91st Galilee Division in the Kiryat Shmona barracks. The IDF said that anti-tank guided missiles were used in the attack.
Hezbollah fighters also shelled the Biranit site with rockets and attacked the al-Radar site on Mount Hermon with “suitable weapons.
In addition, the group fired Falaq heavy rockets at the Maale Golan barracks and two other Burkan heavy rockets at the site of Birkat Risha.
A house occupied by Israeli troops in the settlement of Metulla and an artillery site in Zaora were also targeted by Hezbollah with rockets and “suitable weapons”.
Moreover, the group announced that its fighters had fired a salvo of Falaq rockets at the IDF’s Mount Meron air traffic control base.
The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah said in eight separate statements announcing the operations.
Hebrew media also reported that four rockets were fired at the settlement of Snir from southern Lebanon, without causing any losses. Meanwhile, the IDF said that its air defenses intercepted a “suspicious aerial target” that entered Israeli airspace. Hezbollah didn’t claim responsibility for these incidents.
Following the attack on the Kiryat Shmona barracks, the IDF announced that its fighter jets carried out strikes on a building and other infrastructure used by Hezbollah in the south Lebanon town of Khiam. No casualties were reported there.
Later, the IDF said that it carried out another wave of strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, including a truck ferrying weapons.
Fighter jets also hit a building used by the terror group and other infrastructure in the towns of Khiam, Nabatieh and Kfar Hamam, the IDF said.
Also in Nabatieh, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle. According to unverified reports in Arab media, the strike killed two members of Hezbollah, including a senior commander. The commander was identified as Abbas al-Debs. The alleged commander had ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and was helping set up Iranian air defenses in Syria. Hezbollah has not yet confirmed or denied any of these claims.
The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.
As of February 8, the clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border have resulted in six civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of nine IDF soldiers. On the Lebanese side, more than 200 have been killed. The toll includes 173 Hezbollah fighters, 14 of whom were killed in Syria, 28 Palestinians, a Lebanese soldier, and at least 25 civilians.

i don’t why southfront continues to believe the bullshit casualty figures peddled by the jews.
nobody does.
it won’t take much for this to spiral into fights between soldiers on the ground instead of artillery and rocket exchanges.
i like how israel says there soldiers are only getting hurt or injured but not killed, they are super human!
hamas are pretty fckn useless.
you can see with 90% of their rocket attacks on tanks they do no damage due to the trophy system.
that bright explosion on nearly every tank video is the rpg being destroyed.
the only times the defense system does not work is with rpgs under 50 metres distance.
have you not seen zionist destroyed tanks?
also, come back to earth buddy, they are in gaza jail… shit you right let them just buy some from another country… get them ship by amazon? alibaba maybe… what do you think master of military operation?
oh yeah ignore the fact it has been over 3 months now with israel having achieve none of their miliatry goals yet. the oct 7 attack was the worse event in zionists history… hamas done it alone from a jail.
like their neo-nazi friends in ukraine… none of them dead yet… ignore the mass mobilization of young and old…
we want damaged airfields dumbo’s and not some cheap orchestrated fire works!
