On September 15th, Hezbollah revelaed a missile “specialized in destroying all military battleships of all kinds, and annihilating all who are on board.”
According to Israeli media, which is circulating the image, the missile is the same as the one that struck the INS Hanit during the 2006 Second Lebanon War, killing 4 soldiers.

The #Army_To_Be_Drowned documentary was aired on Lebanon’s al-Manar TV station on August 15th.
According to al-Manar, Hezbollah’s navy commander “Hajj Jalal” said the rocket was launched from the Beirut suburb of Ouzai after “the Zionist enemy esaclated its attacks on various Lebanese areas.”
Adding that the group’s leadership delayed the operation for several hours, Jalal said that the group “could have struck Israel‘s warship SAAR-5 in the 2006 war before it entered Lebanon’s international waters,” he said.

The video included the reasons why Lebanon “was able to win in 2006 against Israel.”
It was allegedly due to 3 surprises:
- The first surprise was the anti-ship missile launched at the INS Hanit;
- The second surprise was the land-to-land missiles launched by Hezbollah fighters and reached the Israeli city of Haifa;
- The third surprise was the anti-tank missiles fired by Hezbollah at the Israel Defense Forces’ Merkava tanks.
Days earlier, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the movement observes “no red lines” any longer in responding to Israel after a drone incursion into Lebanon on August 25th was retaliated by the group.
“It is the right of the Lebanese to defend their country and sovereignty, and there will be no red lines,” he said.
“Despite all the threats and intimidation, today we are affirming the balance of power and reinforcing the deterrent force that protects our country,” Nasrallah said.
It should be noted that the picture of the missile and the treat comes amid an escalation in the Middle East with Saudi Arabian oil fields being attacked and US President Donald Trump saying that he US was prepared to strike whomever the Kingdom claims holds responsibility.
It furthermore comes a short while before the snap general elections in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs a “win” to prove his value to the Israel voters, whose belief in his grand promises of annexing even more territories is questionable.

I know Hezbollah has air defense capability that will surprise the world. If the ansaru allah of Yemen has such capabilities then you can imagine the air defence arsenal at the disposal of Hezb.
Yeah, and they are wise enough to not let that info leak about what suprises they posses today. Even Israels top tier intelligence services had no clue, and likely today dont know what Hezbollah has in its arsenal now. Stunning how Nasrallah manages this amazing security. No leaks, no spies in top level positions. It speaks both for the counter intelligence service of hezbollah, but also about the loyaltly of Hezbollah supporters.

it’s great news when missile technology becomes every mans tool, not just for the few who can pay for it. guess it arrives in boxes via united parcels with a detailed map of how to put it together. battleship nah,would be better if it was able to sink a aircraft carrier, an american one at that.
the idea that anyone can construct his own missile is indeed appealing and I can foresee a number of recipients anywhere in the world of unwanted missile attacks.
