Hezbollah launched on September 14 another wave of attacks, targeting sites and equipment of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
The group announced in two separate statements that it fired salvos of rockets at the main base of the 282nd Artillery Brigade and its armament and emergency depots near the settlement of Yiftah Eliflet as well as the reserve Headquarters of the Northern Corps and the Galilee Division and its logistic depots close to the settlement of Amiad.
In other statements, the group said it shelled the site of Hadab Yarin and an artillery position in the al-Za’ura area, struck the headquarters of the 810th Hermon Brigade in the Ma’ale Golani barracks with a suicide drone and targeted a main battle tank on the Villages of Hadab Yarin Rwaysat al-Alam-Zibdin Road.
The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip as well as in response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah noted in its statements.
The IDF confirmed that over 60 rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel with many being intercepted by its air defenses. It also announced that it had shot down a drone that crossed from Lebanon. No casualties were reported by Hebrew media.
In response to the attacks, the IDF launched a series of strikes against targets of Hezbollah, including two rocket launchers, in Kfar Roummane, Blida and several other towns in southern Lebanon. It is still unclear if the strikes resulted in any casualties.
Hezbollah and its allies have been launching attacks against Israel in support of Gaza since the outbreak of the war on the Strip last October.
So far, the border clashes have resulted in 26 civilian deaths in Israel and the occupied Golan as well as the deaths of at least 20 soldiers and security officers. On the Lebanese side, more than 870 people have been killed, including 440 fighters of Hezbollah and over 150 civilians.
