On October 5, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
12 of the videos show dozens of attacks with FPV suicide drones, grenade-dropping drones, and interceptor drones that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
Another video shows a strike with an Iskander-M tactical ballistic missile that hit a United States-made M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launcher close to the settlement of Sredniy Burluk in the Kharkiv direction.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the strike destroyed the launcher, along with a reloader, and two support vehicles. At least 15 Ukrainian troops were also killed or wounded.
Four additional videos show airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs that targeted Ukrainian positions in the city of Kupyansk in Kharkiv and near the settlement of Uspenovka in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, as well as close to the settlement of Alekseevka and in the settlement of Verbovoye in the Dnipropetrovsk direction.
In addition, the Russian MoD announced in its daily briefing that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “energy facilities that support the operation of the Ukrainian defence industry, rolling stock used for the railway transport of weapons and military hardware to combat areas in Donbass, AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) POL (petroleum, oil and lubricant) supply centre, storage and launch areas of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles and U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS (multiple launch rocket system), as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 137 areas” over the last 24 hours.
The ministry also said that Russian air defense shot down four guided aerial bombs and 145 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 88,173 drones, 631 air defense systems, 25,361 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,593 multiple rocket launchers, 30,195 artillery pieces, and 43,231 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
