Today the new mainstream propaganda machine faces no more obstacles. After censoring the former US President Donald Trump, it continues canceling all those who do not support the current neo-liberal narrative. Hollywood has always served as one of the most important tools of Western propaganda. In order not to leave any chance to the opposition in the information struggle, the Biden administration gained the support of global center of cinematography, which has traditionally enjoyed a cozy relationship with Democratic presidents. As a result, a number of famous actors became targets of rough censorship.
Hollywood actress and MMA fighter Gina Carano was reportedly fired by Disney after she published a series of posts that were allegedly offensive. She was ousted from her role in the Disney Star Wars spinoff show “The Mandalorian.” Her most controversial post in Instagram was a shared screenshot saying:
Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children.
“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

The post was later deleted, but it was widely spread in the social media. Carano faced a large wave of criticism under the hashtag #FireGinaCarano.
The Washington Post reported that as Carano has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump and has often complained about backlash against her conservative opinions, many critics took the post as her equating Republicans with Jews in Nazi Germany.
After that the conservative actress was reportedly fired by Lucasfilm, which is owned by Disney. Later this production company released a statement:
“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.” “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
Among other “offensive” posts published by Carano, there were:
- Photo that featured a person with several cloth masks covering their entire face and head, with a caption saying “Meanwhile in California.”
- A quote saying “Expecting everyone you encounter to agree with every belief or view you hold is f***ing wild” and another one saying “Jeff Epstein didn’t kill himself.”
- She put “beep/bop/boop” in her bio on Twitter instead of listing pronouns.
“They’re mad cuz I won’t put pronouns in my bio to show my support for trans lives,” Carano wrote in September. “After months of harassing me in every way, I decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio…beep/bop/boop. I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”
Following the 2020 election, Carano, as well as numerous conservatives, required voter ID laws, claiming that people were not confident in the results of the election:
“We need to clean up the election process so we are not left feeling the way we do today.” “Put laws in place that protect us against voter fraud. Investigate every state. Film the counting. Flush out the fake votes. Require ID. Make Voter Fraud end in 2020. Fix the system.”
Gina Carano found large support among conservative Americans. In two days after being reportedly fired, she announced the new partnership with The Daily Wire, fast-growing conservative media outlet.
“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered,” Carano said in a statement Friday. “I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”
Daily Wire co-founder and Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro slammed Disney for cutting the star for “offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left.”
“We could not be more excited to be working with Gina Carano, an incredible talent dumped by Disney and Lucasfilm for offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left. This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob,” said Shapiro. “We’re eager to bring Gina’s talent to Americans who love her, and we’re just as eager to show Hollywood that if they want to keep cancelling those who think differently, they’ll just be helping us build the X-wing to take down their Death Star.”
Shapiro claimed: “It is not about an honest attempt to cleanse the culture. It is not about an honest attempt to have discussion or conversation,” he said. “It is about, can we wrong-foot you so that we have an excuse to say that your entire career has been completely and utterly garbage and that you are a bad person, and so we feel good about excising you from the body politic. That’s all that is happening right now in the culture, and that is a big deal.”
Another recent victim of Hollywood witch hunt was Hercules. Actor Kevin Sorbo, known for his role on “Hercules” in 90s, reached headlines in the recent years due to his support of Donald Trump.

The “cancel culture” is infecting leading U.S. institutions, as well as institutions in other Western countries, provoking mass discontent and social destabilization.
