Protests in Hong Kong entered their 16th consecutive week on September 21st, with violence escalating.
In Sha Tin, in the city, protesters vandalized yet another metro station, set fire to makeshift barricades and targeted companies that were “pro-government.”
In Shatin, some protesters threw objects at police and lit barricades on fire, while police have shot projectiles in return.

Initially, the protest started out peacefully, but the more radical protesters arrived, desecrating the Chinese flag and looting the shopping mall, because it’s full of “Mainland” shops.
Protesters surrounded a man and accused him of being a spy from mainland China and punched and kicked him. Video footage showed the man walking away from the group, bleeding from the head.
Here is a video of the man specifically being beaten on by the “peaceful protesters,” with approximately 10 people punching and kicking at him.
On September 21st, protests were most active on the Tuen Mun Highway.
In a video, published by RTHK News “peaceful” protesters can be seen assaulting a police officer, trying to overwhelm him. One of them attempts to grab the officer’s pistol, as other riot police come in to assist him.

Lam Chi-wai, chair of the Junior Police Officers’ Association, mentioned the incident in a letter to members issued on September 23rd.
“Police pistols are our second lives when we are on duty. If our pistols are grabbed, it means that our lives are in danger,” he wrote.
“Rioters, are you really mentally prepared to threaten police or other people’s lives? Regardless of whether you have this mental preparation, if you take this step, we will have to make the sole and necessary decision when we have no choice. Please think carefully,” he added.
Lam also wrote that protesters assaulted residents with different political views and caused serious injuries.
“Such assaults are no different from murder – the level of brutality is the same as that of wild animals,” he wrote.
Furthermore, Lam wrote that few people have strongly condemned protesters other than top government officials, the police force and a minority of lawmakers.
“A sense of justice motivated my colleagues and I to stand firm on our positions to defend Hong Kong – but we are humans, we will get tired, we will feel powerless, we will feel isolated,” he wrote. “I urge again all rational Hong Kong people, especially those public figures who boast of their conscience, to break your silence, to let us know people of justice are not lonely, to let rioters know that Hong Kong is not a place that they can run amuck.”
Western organizations continue to completely disregard any actions of the protesters and simply accuse police of brutality.
Amnesty International released a report detailing what it said were instances of torture and abuse in custody.
“Hong Kong’s security forces have engaged in a disturbing pattern of reckless and unlawful tactics against people during the protests,” the human rights group said, adding that one man claimed police “beat him severely and threatened to break his hands if he tried to protect himself,” while another officer “threatened to electrocute a man’s genitals” if he would not unlock his phone.
Protesters setting fires and throwing petrol bombs at officers, in addition to stealing their batons and subsequently assaulting them with their own gear is all fine.
“Time and again, police officers meted out violence prior to and during arrests, even when the individual had been restrained or detained. The use of force was therefore clearly excessive, violating international human rights law,” said Nicholas Bequelin, East Asia Director at Amnesty International.
An unnamed senior police commander dismissed the Amnesty report as “not credible.” They echoed the official remarks, adding that “in any prolonged situation of this nature, I would be dishonest if I tell you I believe that no one has overstepped the line.”
“You are talking about a prolonged situation where there is chaos and violent encounters, but it is important to note that we have procedures to deal with any allegations of excessive use of force,” the commander added. “I would note that we are covered by among the highest concentration of journalists in the world, our actions are highly transparent.”
Separately, in all locations, brawls between mobs of protesters continued throughout each day of protests.

All of these protests come just days before China celebrates its National Holiday on October 1st. It is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
Usually, there are always peaceful protests in Hong Kong on October 1st, but it is highly likely that there would be a bigger escalation in violence on this occasion.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
Full support to the HK authorities. Don’t give in to these foreign-backed trash and vermin.
These people in Hong Kong only want to be like an American and get freedom to ride the bike and smoke marihuana as we do. They say they also were born to be wild like an American. I cant blame these guys because they wanna be like us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwST6mpT7Ds
Freedom to ride the bike and smoke marihuana. Yeah. What a vision of society and what freedom entails as its important virtues you laid out. LOL. PS: Your english sounds nothing like that of most US citizens, you like being a NATO troll spinning for the US?
Soros has many warehouses stuffed full of these robots. They are flown around the world at his expense and are willing to do anything for their creator. However, their circuits are bandy and the cheap Soros programming means that they haven’t quite ironed out the nuances between peaceful protest and ultra violent confrontation.
Maybe that will be fixed in the next update.
let them rant and rave and when the steam goes away take them off the streets one by one and lock them up, somewhere unpleasant. not much to spare.
