On August 29, Houthi fighters captured several positions around the al-Tul border crossing south of the Saudi province of Jizan following heavy clashes with the Saudi-led coalition and its Yemeni proxies, according to the Yemeni al-Masirah TV.
During the clashes, the Houthis killed many Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters. Several Upgraded M113 armored personnel carrier (APCs) of the Saudi military were also destroyed with Rocket-propelled grenades.
Al-Masirah said that Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted 15 airstrikes on Houthi fighters in an attempt to stop the attack on al-Tul. However, the airstrikes were not effective.
In August, the Houthis stepped up their military operations on the border with Saudi Arabia in what appears to be an attempt to draw resources of the Saudi-led coalition from its large-scale attack on the coastal Yemeni city of al-Hudaydah.
Another defeat for the devil worshippers.

There seemed to be little order and discipline within the Saudi Proxies camp. Even though it was after a battle it still showed that little or no order had been observed. No trenches of foxholes with overhead cover, rubbish everywhere and the heavy machine gun with no rearward blast defences.

The difference between the theatres is that Russia has a formal protection pact with Syria and being a law abiding international citizen has an obligation to respect said treaty, Russia has no treaty and therefore no obligation to take such risks for Yemen. The humanitarian support from Iran on the other hand is probably the only reason there are still Yemenis alive so stop bitching about Russia and give thanks to Iran if you care about the plight of Yemen.

I remember a song, ‘the time has come today’. While I’m filled with much trepidation and worrying about what may follow and unfold yet, I’m also relieved and excited that the tide does seem to be turning re the centuries long empire business. So much damage was inflicted upon half the world or more since just ww2!
Sometimes I don’t believe so much has transpired over the years and eons further. My heart is very heavy for how much needless and real suffering is taking place in the world where it can be helped.
