On September 12, the Houthis repelled a large offensive of the Saudi-led coalition and its Yemen proxies on their positions in the area of “Kilo 16” between the district center of al-Durayhimi and the city of al-Hudaydah on the western Yemeni coast, according to the Houthis’ media center.
The Yemeni al-Masirah TV said that Houthi fighters destroyed 16 vehicles of the coalition, half of which are US-made Oshkosh Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicles. Furthermore, the Houthis killed and injured more than 45 Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters.
The Houthis said that warplanes and attack helicopters of the Saudi-led coalition supported the failed offensive with more than 50 airstrikes. One of the airstrikes targeted several trucks carrying refugees, which resulted in the death of 15 civilians including women and children.

The Saudi-led coalition launched its attack on al-Durayhimi and Kilo 16 exactly one month ago. Since then, the coalition has captured several positions around the district center and near Kilo 16. However, it is yet to break the Houthis’ main defense line.
The Houthis should just kill the vermin scum and keep and use the vehicles. Anyway, good news.
That was my first thought but after burning and blowing up every vehicle they find it seems they have decided going in a vehicle merely presents an opportunity for a Saudi gunship.

This has to be frustrating beyond patience for the KSA. It had the world stacked against the Houthis and the tried and true playbook was put into action, with a swift victory in mind. This is not what has happened or anything close to what is shaping up. I think that the Houthis, like the Afghanis, have decades of fight left in them.
I notice the kid who was running the show in the KSA, is nowhere to be seen lately. For myself, this is another serious sign that it is way out of control. The air power means just about nothing. There are no command and control infrastructure to hit and the Houthis come out of nowhere to wreck havoc on the Coalition and Co.. As rich as the Gulf buddies who are backing the fight, they cannot go endlessly into this money pit. It is especially noteworthy that the Houthis seem to be increasing their attack reach, deeper and deeper in the rear areas. It looks like the real fun is just getting started. My take. Strategically India very close to Russia, China and Pakistan instead of US. The India and US relations are not durable due to their own concerns. Similarly the India and Israel relations are also not durable due to illegal state of Israel, slaughtering of Palestinians and occupation of Palestinian country. Now India could decide to respect their neighbours and remain with them or to leave them all and permanently join US. I think the Indian nation will not let Indian government to leave strategic partners.
West had divided India. Therefore, India should not repeat the same mistake of their ancestors. US, UK, Israel and ISIS have no allies because they suck their allies.
The relations of India with US and Israel will expose whole region to new threats from US and Israel and therefore, will create instability in the whole region which Russia, China and Pakistan would not like to happen. Each country has their own privacy which they don’t wanna share with others.

It strikes me that the Houthi’s only proper hope for meaningful survival, rather than suffering long term oppression from the air, is to directly attack Saudi population centers and call for an armistice.
Or let it become a protracted war like Vietnam or Afghanistan, Chechnya etc. If it’s drawn out and the Saudi’s get no major victory for morale/propaganda purposes, such as what the Houthi tactics are already showing then they win. It’s like when Napolean invaded Russia, never give the enemy a decisive victory always live to fight another day and defend key strategic points with maximum effort and defense.

Yea if the Houthi’s started hitting major cities or towns with their ballistic missiles, hell or committed more sabotage and cross-border raids then they’d be more successful, but the Houthi’s don’t really have the manpower or resources to pull off such stunts or they just want to bleed the Saudi’s like how they’re currently doing. It’s just a matter of who blinks first and messes up.
