The Houthis killed 55 Saudi soldiers and injured 53 others in the Saudi provinces of Jizan, Najran and Asir in March, the Yemeni TV channel Al Masirah reported on April 4.
The TV channel also quoted a military source in the Houthis that has said that the numbers of the Saudi casualties provided by Riyadh are much lower than they are in the reality.
On April 2, a Saudi-led coalition airstrike killed 12 people, including 7 children, in the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, according to media reports citing local medics and witnesses. Currently, the city is the main aid point for millions of civilians that are on the brink of famine after the three-year conflict.
On April 3, a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Turki al-Malki, commented on the sutuation:
“We take this report very seriously and it will be fully investigated as all reports of this nature are – using an internationally approved, independent process. Whilst this is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
The Saudi-led alliance, which includes some other regional states, has conducted thousands of airstrikes targeting Houthi fighters and civilan infrastructure in Yemen causing large casualties among civilians.
No report on any ground taken, so what real progress is made besides slow attrition.
Good for the Houthis! However killing some 50+ Saudi pricks is little consolation for the fact that while those soldiers were put out of their misery, several thousand more Yemeni citizens were purposely starved to death!
