On August 26, the pro-Saudi wing of the Yemeni military said that four of its fighters were killed and five others were wounded as a result of a series of ceasefire violations by the Houthis (Ansar Allah).

The military said in a statement that the Houthis violated the UN-sponsored ceasefire 143 times in the recent days. 41 violations took place in the western province of al-Hodeida, 55 in the southwestern province of Tazi, 33 in the central province of Ma’rib, 9 in the northwestern province of Hajjah, 4 violations in the northern provinces of al-Jawf and a single violation in the neighboring province of Saada.

According to the statement, the violations included infiltration attempts, direct and indirect fire attacks as well as attacks with drones.

Following the release of the military’s statement, Yemeni news sources reported a drone attack by the Houthis on Saudi-backed forces in the southwestern province of al-Dali. The group’s drones bombed the al-Jib camp and several fortified positions on Othman hills. No casualties were reported as a result of the attack.

The Houthis have been also reporting ceasefire violations by Saudi-led coalition proxies. According to the group, Saudi-backed forces carried out 136 violations on different fronts across Yemen between August 25 and 26 only.

The UN-sponsored ceasefire in Yemen entered into effect on April 2 and was set to end on June 2. However, it was extended two times, first until August 2 and then until October 2.

Despite the repeated ceasefire violations by both sides, the ceasefire is still holding up. The Saudi-led coalition and the Houthis don’t appear to be planning to escalate. The UN is currently working to improve the conditions of the ceasefire as well as to extend it.

The Houthis have no reason to respect any ceasefire or any agreement reached with the Rothschild supported criminal Wahhabists, any agreement they make is violated just the same as those made by NATO backed Ukraine, their word isn’t worth a penny.
