On October 18, the Yemeni Missiles Force [loyal to the Houthis] announced that it had launched a Badir-1 “ballistic missile” at a gathering of Saudi-led coalition troops in the district of Kitaf wa al-Boqe’e in the northern Yemeni province of Saada.
“The missile hit its target accurately, which resulted in direct loses among the mercenaries [Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters],” a source in the Yemeni Missiles Force told the al-Masirah TV.
The Royal Saudi Air Defense Force (RSAD) didn’t intercept any aerial object over Saada, which confirms that the Houthis’ rocket reached its target. This was expected, as the RSAD operates within Saudi Arabia territory only.
While the Yemeni Missiles Forces claim that the Badir-1 is a “ballistic missile,” experts believe that it is in fact a locally-made copy of the Iranian Fajir-3 artillery rocket. Supposedly, the rocket’s range exceeds 40km.
Since the beginning of this month, the Houthis stepped down their rocket and missile attacks, which may mean that the Yemeni group is facing manufacturing and operating difficulties. Such problems were likely caused by the tight siege imposed by the coalition on the war-torn country.
Bravo to the Houthis!!! Keep the missiles coming and aim them at the Saudi scum that is genociding the innocent Yemeni civilians!
When are they going to realize this one rocket at a time stuff isn’t accomplishing anything strategic? Unless, of course, the focus is really just on headlines…
The Patriot missile defense covers Saudi territory. I never hear about them intercepting missile attacks inside of Yemen. The Saudis don’t care about their Orcs. So think about is as long range artillery. I hope they aren’t running out of material but after 4yrs I suppose it was inevitable that their stockpile would run low. This will encourage the Saudis to keep going.
The trouble with Patriots is they have difficulty telling friend from foe, and they don’t have a human in charge. So they would shoot down a lot of Saudi planes, if turned on
Agreed, they need to target the Saudi oil infrastructure. Even a drone could start a major fire and severely disrupt Saudi oil exports.
kashoggi case , may well end this jemen genocide……if the usa(trump) decides on the truth(mohammed bin salman ordered the assasination of kashoggi), there is a biggg chance for the jemen war to end…..it all depends if the usa (trump) follow through, or if they get a stooge to take take the fall in saudi arabia and the usa/trump take the bait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
