On September 5, the Yemeni Missiles Force [loyal to the Houthis] announced that it had launched 4 Badir-1 “ballistic missiles” at a refinery of the Saudi Aramco oil company and several petrochemical factories in the southwestern kingdom’s city of Jizan.
Minutes after the Yemeni Missiles Force announcement, a spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition, Colonel Turki al-Malaki, said that the Royal Saudi Air Defense Force (RSAD) tracked and intercepted a “ballistic missile” of the Houthis, which was heading towards Jizan. Col al-Malaki added that debris from the interception injured 23 civilians in the city.
The Yemeni al-Masirah TV reported that loud explosions were heard in Jizan, which may mean that the other three rockets managed to reach their targets.
Usually, the Saudi-led coalition responds to such strikes by targeting key positions of the Houthis in the northern Yemeni province of Saada, where most of the Yemeni Missiles Force assets are located.
HINT: According to experts, the Badir-1, which was first revealed on March 22, is in fact a locally-made copy of the Iranian-made solid fuel artillery rocket, Fajir-3. The Yemeni Missiles Force claims that the rocket has a high accuracy and a speed over 4,5 Mach.
We must’ve all asked ourselves at one time or another, how long before a coordinated launch of many missiles along several vectors?
If the technology is passing its tests, how long before the new tactic is enabled?
I bet those 23 civilians would have preferred the missile reached it’s target, from the lack of bleating about the others it is clear they were precisely aimed at military targets. I wonder if the minor military materiel losses that were avoided are any consolation to the injured?
Absolutely right, in general civilians – may it be school busses full of pupils, wedding companies, hospitals…. would prefer not to be involved in wars. But they could have chosen to be born elsewhere, couldn’t they¿ So actually it is their fault being mistaken on purpose for military targets.
??
Civilians have a habit of getting in the way of the US military.
3/4 then, not bad.
If the speed of these missiles really are over Mach 4.5 then I can sleep better knowing that the people of Yemen finally have the means to produce a missile that has serious chances of success. Now lets all home that the people of Yemen can manufacture at least 5 new Badir-1 missiles can be manufactured with decent quality every week. Or perhaps let us home that soon they can manufacture a minimum of 20 of these a week. Being able to launch 20 of these every week will make Saudi Arabia more likely to allow the UN to step in and try and make some peace with Saudi Arabia pulling their forces at least partially back.
the UN will NEVER step in…r u on drugs? the UN…wtf ..where have u been living for the last 50 years?? missiles…yemen produces missiles since the 1980´s…..they got the same technology like saddam or iran, based on the north korean and russian technology…… on missile defense………..missile defense from saudi(which is american tech.) have an average success rate of 20%…….lebanon -israel war 2006, the IDF had a meager 18% success rate as published last year by IDF themselves…….missile defense is a highly difficult technology and only 1 country on earth has shown that it has managed a success rate of over 85%…thats russia… …
Is hitting a refinery any good apart from nuisance value? How about hitting army bases, radars and political buildings?
thats the best decision…..army bases, radars, pol.buildings??? those have zero value, either because , like army bases or buildings, they can be rebuilt really quickly and have no strategic value ….radars yes, but du you know how big radars are???whats the chance is of hitting one? And they can be bought and set up again and again etc… a refinery once hit…hahaha…….rebuild ?maybe in years….strategic value?? very high…..it cost them saudis for a refinery to go up in flames hundreds of millions and no more oil refinery for that place….
Good point and thanks . Bravo.
i wish they would hit their airbases too, to at least slow down the airstrikes
What do cars, tanks, personnel carriers, fighters, bombers and so on, use to fuel them and where does that fuel come from ?.
My point was more that they can source alternative petroleum products -already refined -quickly from other countries anyway. This will run their cars ,tanks etc.
I now understand having an oil installation down in saud is bad ,as it means no export dollars which could be big income gap if you hit enough of them.
Fair play.
Hitting a refinery is a big deal as they are very expensive and time consuming to build (repair) – and this hits them where it hurts as refined oil exports are a high value add export. Hope the whole refinery blew up.
The Houthis are sending a consistent message for some time now and that is the Houthis have taken the war into Saudi Arabia and it will only get worse for the Kingdom until finally the Saudi elite make their move and take down MbS and make peace.
One caveat – if a major Middle East war breaks out, who knows how things may unfold.
spot on..ty
Especially the “cracking tower”
I detest the Saudis, I applaud the Houthis and this does cost the KSA money and get their attention. But this is a target of convenience because it is close. The big oil facilities are about 500 miles away on the north east coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf area.
Anything that goes through hormuz is vulnerable, saudis know this, which is why the red sea area was considered “safe”.
The houthis are saying its not safe. The noose is tightning on MBS, lets wqtch the little candy ass camel fucker squeaalllll.
Yup, and I am sure MbS squeals like a pig behind closed palace doors. Well the many enemies he made have a solution for that – the scene in deliverance where the arrow pierces the perverts heart comes to mind. How poetic that would be in bringing an end to his tyrannical reign of failure.
In June I posted that the Houthis are going to teach the world a few things about war… and they are doing just that.
And as for the Houthis taking the war into KSA, this part of the show is just getting started. So if you hate the Saudis, well I think then you are really going to enjoy the show and so sit back and make sure you get yourself an extra big helping of popcorn…
very nice houthis :))) please also aim for their airbases :))
Patriot is useless Saud should buy S400 intead
But before MBS is with his virgins :)
Great take Away their Finance Houthis…and a Coup d’Etat will be the Result sooner or Later…Down with the Jewish House of SAUD..
You got it. MbS going down…
