On January 10, a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces [a key ally of the Houthis] revealed that a new suicide unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called “Qasef-2k” was used in the recent attack on a military parade of Saudi-backed forces in the southern district of al-Anad.
“Qasef-2k is a new plane which had been tested before … It has a heavy high-explosive fragmentation [HE-frag] warhead that explodes 20meters over the target,” the Yemeni al-Masirah TV quoted Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari as saying.
The Yemeni spokesman didn’t reveal any other details about the new suicide UAV. However, the available photos and video suggest that it is a slightly upgraded copy of the Qasef-1 UAV, which was first presented in 2017.
According to a report of the Conflict Armament Research (CAR) group, Qasef-1 UAV is a copy of the Iranian-made “Ababil-2.” It is still unclear if these UAV are being indeed made in Yemen or if they are being smuggled all the way from Iran, as the Saudi-led coalition claims.

The attack on the military parade was one of the most successful attacks of the Yemeni Air Force [loyal to the Houthis] during the Yemeni war. Not only because the attack killed six personnel of Saudi-backed forces, including senior officers, but also because it was the first attack of its kind to be caught on tape. This presented a major blow for the Saudi-led coalition that usually denies that Houthi UAV attacks cause any casualties or damage.
The Saudi-led coalition will likely respond to the attack by striking strategic positions of the Houthis in central or northern Yemen. The coalition may even go as far as violating the UN-sponsored ceasefire agreement by striking positions inside the city of al-Hudaydah in order to deter the Houthis.

Yep, it was a precision strike and wiped out senior puppet officers. Also shows the excellent intelligence network the Ansarollah have. They appear to have penetrated the Hadi puppet government of cowards that hides in Riyadh.
