A drone attack on July 20 destroyed several radars and other military equipment in the King Khalid airbase in southern Saudi Arabia, a spokesman for the Houthis announced.
The spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, said that the new attack was carried out by several Qasef-2K suicide unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Qasef-2K is a copy of Iran’s Ababil-2.
“This operation comes in response to the crimes of aggression and its continued siege on the great Yemeni people, where the number of airstrikes during the last 12 hours has reached 25,” Brig. Gen. Sari said.
From its side, the Saudi-led coalition announced that its air-defense systems had shot down a UAV other the Kingdom’s southern city of Abha. The coalition said that the UAV was launched from the Houthi-held areas in the Yemeni province of ‘Amran.

The Houthis stepped up their aerial attacks on Saudi Arabia in the last two months, citing the tight Saudi siege on their areas as a reason.
