In the late hours of August 7, the Houthis launched a Badir-F tactical ballistic missile at the Combat Training School in the southern Saudi province of Jizan.

“Ambulances were seen rushing to transport dozens of dead and wounded to Jizan hospitals after the strike,” said Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Yemeni group.

The spokesman also revealed that the strike targeted Saudi-backed forces, which were massing in the Combat Training School and preparing to attack the Houthi-held areas of Harad and Hiran in southern Jizan.

This was the second such attack in the last 12 hours. In the morning, the Houthis launched a Badir-F tactical ballistic missile at a military camp of the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies in the province of Najran, east of Jizan.

Regardless of the results of both missile strikes, the Houthis’ ability to launch two tactical ballistic missiles within such a short period is a testimony to their growing offensive capabilities.
