On May 12, the Saudi-led coalition and its Yemen proxies continued their advance in the southwestern province of Taiz and captured the al-Wazi’iyah district, according to the UAE-based al-Arabiya TV.

The TV channel said that the Houthis had withdrawn from the district after destroying their equipment and positions.

The Saudi-led coalition besieged several units of the Houthis in al-Wazi’iyah district on May 10, after capturing the Mawza district and the al-Brah region. Later, the coalition expanded its control along the western coast of Taiz province and captured the al-Omar military camp.

Al-Arabiya said that the entire western part of Taiz province is now under the control of the Saudi-led coalition. This will enable the coalition to oversee the naval traffic in the Bab-el-Mandeb strait, the Houthis’ main supply route.

The next target of the Saudi-led coalition is likely the remaining positions of Houthis in the northern part of Taiz province. The coalition may also resume its advance towards the strategic port of al-Hudaydah along the western Yemeni coast.

Tochka… Ras Tanura Refinery… Just saying, Houthi bros. The UAE can keep sending Columbians and Sudanese mercs to North Yemen as long as you can stay there and fight. Best to divide and conquer the Wahhabi chimps – the Saudis are broke and will cave first. You can clean up the UAE later.

…and the house of cards starts to fall over. Geography is a very unforgiving science.

I was hoping the house of Saud is the house of cards. Because SA is committing genocide against N Yemen. And yet the UN does nothing. :(

Barba_Papa

Because Saudi Arabia has wisely spent billions in arms sales in the West and Russia, so at least 4 of the 5 permanent veto countries are not going make this an issue in the UNSC. And the Chinese are A: not in the habit of raising a stink anywhere in the world about human rights violations and B: even if they did they’re not going to do it alone.

Mike

That’s what you worthless whabbi’s like you have been saying for the last 3 and half years, well keep dreaming scumbag.

Smaug

I don’t care who wins this war.
