On Sunday, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) captured Abu Dali village and al-Maqta’a hill in the northern Hama countryside, according to the HTS-linked news agency Iba’a.
Iba’a said the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) units withdrew from the village after a successful VBIED attack of HTS.
Iba’a added that several Syrian soldiers were killed or captured in Abu Dali village. Moreover, HTS captured a T-72 tank and two armed vehicles of the SAA inside the village according to the source.

Meanwhile, opposition sources revealed that HTS field commander Khaled Sulash al-Ahmad “Abu Adam” was killed by the SAA during the ongoing HTS attack in the northern Hama countryside.
Opposition sources added that Syrian warplanes conducted several airstrikes on Jarjnaz and Maarrat al-Nu’man towns in the southern Idlib countryside. From its side, pro-government forces announced that 20 HTS fighters were killed on Sunday around Abu Dali village.
The capture of Abu Dali village is considered the first real achievement of HTS in the northern Hama countryside in 2017. It’s still unknown if the SAA is planning to launch a counter-attack to recapture the town, or if HTS will continue its attack.

This coincides with the Turkish invasion of Northern Syria and their so called meeting with HTS. Never trust the Turks. The Syrian government forces need to pay back the US/Zio/Nazi al-Qaida terrorists with interest. They should not only reverse all the gains of the US terror group, but they need to continue until all of Hama governorate is freed from the all terror groups, whether you call them moderate or not. There is also need to liberate the terrorists’ safe heaven and incubator of Idleb, from where these attacks originate. Once again the miscalculation or mistake by Russia in creating these terrorist safe heavens to save the terrorists from certain defeat at the hands of the Syrian government forces comes to the fore. Whatever the case, with the Syrian and Russian air force having total mastery over the skies of Syria, such series set backs are completely unacceptable.

I hear what you are saying, but SAA & allies push here was suicidal given how stretched it’s front lines are … many much needed SAA lives and resources lost needlessly (just as with Palmyra), and miscalculations are an understatement in these tragic circumstances.

If RU planed to stretch SAA supply lines that much what were they going to do about it knowing it might put at risk everything that has been achieved so far. The issue is not how stretched the supply lines are, but how well defended they are. Given the nature of this conflict and the terrain types, it’s not feasible to contest and hold empty desert areas. Hold the main towns and roads, and respond quickly when the enemy assaults them. The SAA did this for holding the road to Aleppo thru Kannasser and other choke points and were successful with neither AW or IS able to shutdown supply line for more than a few days until their assault forces were swept away by SAA response. The Palmyra-DeZ road is NO DIFFERENT

Look at the terrorists moving freely in the open without even Russian helicopter gunships hassling them! Where are the mighty Russian Alligator or Mi 28 choppers? This is inconceivable. Some aircraft bombs are seen detonating in a safe distance from the terrorists. Also the terrorists have a very clear view from the air of the Syrian Army positions. How is this possible? They can’t be everywhere simultaneously. Russia doesn’t have thousands of combat troops or hundreds of aircraft. The Syria operation is a minimalist operation, not some huge heavy-handed occupation like the yanks indulge in.
Never trust these sources have seen videos of them driving alleged captured trucks and they are the exact same ones they used before, this is just more hype and propaganda to put on a show by these terrorists.

HTS are AQ. That should be enough to know. They want a Wahhabi Sunni Sharia state, a Caliphate essentially.
HTS was originally created by IS operatives, but became independent under local authority and refused to suborn themselves to IS command. They want their own little niche, kinda like a personal fiefdom within a larger Wahhabbi caliphate.

My take , is that Al Qaeda is the CIA officer corps , that they move in and out of command of ISIS , who are the cannon fodder run by the Pentagon . As you said both are Wahhabi Sunni’s , striving to achieve their “Caliphate” or nation controlled by their extreme Sharia law .

What have we learned from this? No boots on the ground no victory. You may bomb from the air as much as you want. What Iran has been doing? Lack of commitment from RU and IR? They don’t want to commit ground troupes plenty of evidence. No need of generals SAA need soldiers. SAA troupes have been depleted by the war of attrition. NDF forces have proved time and again to be of hardly any value, more a liability than an asset.
Manwhile, as far as I know, Qaryatayn is still in the hands of IS. When is that going to be cleared?
