Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) denied on January 25 that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) had advanced in the southeastern Idlib countryside.
In a statement to the Iba’a news network, a source in the group claimed that the towns of Abu Jurif, Tell Khatra, Kherbet Daoud, Kursiyan, Deir Gharbi, Taqanah, and Mustyif hilltop are still under their control.
Earlier, pro-government sources, known to be highly-credible, said that the seven areas were captured by the SAA. HTS’ source, however, said that “heavy clashes” are ongoing there.
“Heavy clashes” is the term usually used by HTS to justify its defeats. The group never acknowledges its real losses.
The SAA resumed its large-scale ground operation in southeast Idlib a day ago. Now, army troops are 3 km away from the operation’s main target, the city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man, which is the biggest urban center in the region.
birds of the same feather—amerika lied and claimed no casualties from Iran missiles…this expected from the US funded/trained HTS fanatics
Fuck you Wahabbi doG-cursed maggot-spawned pox-riddled swine. You will all die screaming and spend an eternity roasting in the flames of Hell.
Go SAA!!! Go Russia!!! :-D
SAA really need to get Aleppo done first. Idlib is not going anywhere.
While your priorities are correct, its foolish to give up months of logistical preparations. I think they are working on both fronts, plus the north east. A hand full.
Jacob no job Wuhl must be pathetically doing the down voting here.
