Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) showcased on January 16 heavy weapons which were recently seized from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

The terrorist group’s news network, Iba’a, claimed that HTS militants seized the weapons during their recent counter-attack in southeast Idlib. In the course of the attack, the militants recaptured the town of Abu Jurayf.

According to photos released by Iba’a, the seized weapons are:

  • Four Fagot anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), along with two launchers;
  • A KPV-14.5 14.5 mm heavy machine gun mounted on a KAMAZ-43114 truck;
  • A UAZ-469 vehicle;
  • Three AGS-17 30 mm grenade launchers.

Earlier, the army resumed its ground operations in southeast Idlib, capturing several towns, including Abu Jurayf. The army also launched a series of artillery and aerial strikes on militants’ positions around Aleppo city.

Pro-government sources speculate that the SAA may develop its attack in southeast Idlib and launch a new operation to secure Aleppo city in the upcoming days. Such a move could push HTS and its allies in Greater Idlib into complete collapse.

SAA incompetence is the main supplier of weapons to HTS…

John

Okay, when were they captured? What year?

John

I doubt they captured much of anything, if at all. Those guys are so desperate now, that Turkey is asking the US to recommit to them? So, let’s just say they did capture it, which I don’t give credibility to anyway, what good will a few pieces of armament do for them? I don’t give this news any weight. My take. I wish you well Edgars.

You never know, but some of this stolen equipment might have a “turn on” homing radar emissions devices which can be detected by military aircraft. GPS is chip size.

If Russian-Ian-hexbolah do not help you, run SAA run for your life.

Free man

Russia helps all the time. The others not so much.

Z.P.

I knew all the time that you are not only anti-Putin, anti-Russia but also anti-Assad and anti-SAA! You bitch! Testa di cazzo!

Free man

I feel sorry for Syria in general and SAA in particular. Things will only get worse.

Propaganda is always part of the war efforts. Photo’s like this are not valid proof for anything. I have photo of space shuttle …but is it really “mine”?

I have photo of Melania Trump…also.
