The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has repelled another attack by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies on its positions in northern Hama.
According to the available information, the terrorist group attacked the SAA’s positions around the town of Qasabiyeh in the early hours of July 21. However, army units were able to repel the large attack after more than five hours of heavy clashes.
Muraselon, a pro-government news outlet, said that the army killed 19 militants of HTS. The terrorist group also lost three pick-up trucks, two battle tanks and a BMP-1 armored vehicle in the failed attack.
“Members of the Turkish-backed Euphrates Shield [ES], who came from Afrin, participated in the attack along al-Nusra [HTS’s original name] terrorists,” Muraselon quoted a Syrian military source as saying.
This was the second failed attack by HTS and its allies this month. Few weeks ago, the terrorist group launched a large attack on the town of al-Hamameyat in northern Hama. Despite initial success, the attack ended with a major failure. More than 70 terrorists were reportedly killed.
HTS’ repeated attacks in northern Hama are a testimony to the failure of the de-escalation agreement. The terrorist group and its allies are apparently not willing to respect any peaceful solution.
I love the smell of the burned jihadists in the morning……………….
Not so sure about the smell, but the smoke from the funeral pyres are welcome :)
That brings me back to the old days – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EndqhHJx-Ko
Another generation :)
I have been advised to say no comment.
Lol.
Perhaps the sight of rather than inhalation of the stench.
No matter how many are killed there always seems more rats to replace them.
we need to “bomb” the radical clercs too
Got to kill more than replacements but continual chipping away is a must.
It’s because not that many are really killed and it’s stop and start over lengthy time. The title says “heavy losses” but it’s only 19 according to government sources. The SAA mostly responds to aggression from the militants and militants usually only attack when they or their numbers are strong. In full-out wars and battles of the past there’d be thousands, 10s of thousands, etc. killed per day.
pssssssst, hey HTS ………… the vending machine is all out of bananas. Stop hitting that button baby!
Those militants have more battletanks and Bmps then the Russian Army…
hahahahhahahah good
Times news paper today… so far 1.200 syran soldiers been killed in idlib failed operation. waste of young life for never ending silly war
SDF would be wise to send some troops to aid SAA, to show solidarity with SAA, to bind more jihadi forces in Idlib, to show a commitment to the concept kf Syria. In return they should ask or demand some concessions by Assad and a set number of tanks and artillery.
