Today, on January 26, there are media reports that more Syrian government military reinforcements have traveled to Aleppo since there are reports of a large convoy of Russian T-90 tanks arrived to the city of Al-Safira in southeastern Aleppo last week.

According to a report, on Saturday morning over 800 soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), National Defense Forces (NDF), Kata’eb Hezbollah (Iraqi paramilitary) and Liwaa Al-Badr (Iraqi paramilitary) made their way from the Syrian capital of Damascus to the city of Aleppo.

However the ultimate objective of military gathering is still unknown. Reports said almost 3,000 military personnel have made the arduous journey in three weeks from Damascus to the provincial capital of the Aleppo Governorate.

Some analyst speculates that the next Aleppo offensive will take place in the northern countryside, where the two predominately Shi’i towns of Al-Zahra’ and Nubl have been currently encircled by the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

Some military analyst says that the offensive will gear to capture the Bab Al-Hawa border-crossing into the Hatay Province of Turkey.

Coordinating with the Russian Aerospace Force, the Syrian Arab Army have made significant gains in southern Syria, Latakia province, Deir Ezzor which is a Syrian government held enclave surrounded by ISIS, and advancing towards eastern Homs province and Damascus province.
