Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers have received training inside Britain on how to use weapons provided by London, including the US-made M270 Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MLRS).
The MLRS that Britain is sending Ukraine is said to have a range of about 50 miles, although they could potentially be outfitted with longer-range munitions in the future. London hasn’t said publicly how many MLRS systems it’s giving Ukraine, but the BBC reported that it’s believed they’ll be sending three.
The training has been taking place in Salisbury, southern England for about 450 Ukrainian troops. According to Reuters, Ukrainian forces were seen firing 105mm light guns and the MLRS systems.
The US has sent Ukraine a similar system, known as the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), and has been training Ukrainian forces in Germany and at other undisclosed locations in Europe. The HIMARS the US is sending also has a range of about 50 miles.
So far, the US has committed to giving eight HIMARS systems to Ukraine, and more could be included in the new $800 million weapons package President Biden announced will be detailed later in the week. Russia strongly cautioned the US and Britain against providing Ukraine with such weapons, but the warnings were ignored.

The real issue is that the Russian Federation is under direct military attack by over 60 NATO and other vassal states. The Russian Airforce can barely fly 100 combat sorties at peak, NATO and US in particular flew 3,000 sorties a day against Iraq and hit all civilian and military targets, but mostly civilian infrastructure. Russia has no clue how to conduct a combined arms operation and keep tempo with running logistics and supplies. The Russians are using antiquated Soviet era ammo, especially missiles that are inaccurate and causing substantial collateral damage. It is also quite obvious and known to most knowledgeable western military analysts, that the Soviet Union was also very weak and a bluff. They did not even have enough ammunition to wage conventional war for a few months. The Russian military is no on the backfoot and will soon face a determined NATO counter-offensive. Thousands of AFU troops are not being trained in UK, Germany, Poland, Romania etc just for a country dance. They will attack the Don Bas, Crimea and Southern Russia before winter. The Russians are in a pickle and unless get their act together and launch punitive strikes on Kiev, Russian cities and even infrastructure will be hit soon.
The Russians have suffered about the same number of fatalities that that they endured in Afghanistan in a decade 1979-1988. The Soviets made the mistakes, even though facing only US, UK and Wahhabis and not entire NATO.
On the home-front, Putin made an enormous error not explaining the reasons of this conflict, which now poses an existential threat to Russia and without mass public support and conscription, NATO will soon bring the war to Russian soil and people, Boris Johnson has openly said so. Russian global propaganda outreach has been very weak, while EU and the west has totally blocked any Russian narrative.

Salisbury Plain is a major training area used by the British military indeed the main training ground for the Royal Artillery regiments . With military bases all around. Maybe Russia should do the same and train anti nato personnel at military sites in the Motherland for possible action against nato at a later time.
