Late on September 3, Idlib militants launched several armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at Russia’s Hmeimim airbase in western Syria.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces had intercepted all the UAVs. The attack caused no casualties or damage at the airbase.
The attack took place just a few days after the start of the ceasefire in the Idlib zone on August 31. It demonstrates that despite diplomatic efforts by the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance, Idlib militant groups are set to continue escalating the situation in the area.

My vote goes to ceasefires, prepare for making another pocket, liberate pocket, make another ceasefires, prepare, make another pocket, etc. Rather then carpet bombing whole Idlib. There are still children, women, elderly people.

This again proves how little actual control Turkey has over these headchoppers. Which of course is fully understandable. One does not control the devil, you can only hope that for as long as you need him your interests coincide. And firmly prepare for the moment when he will inevitably turn on you.

I honestly don’t understand these axxholes. With a ceasefire that holds they might get some kind of legitimacy and a useful base for talks. But with these continuous violations they make their presence at most temporary, they will be kicked out. Actually, any deal would eventually hang on the goodwill of the Russians, these regular (and completely useless) drone attacks ensure a firm Russian “no” for any permanent settlement.
You has just missed the point. Terrorists are not in Syria to make deals or to accept ceasefires. Terrorists are there to continue destroying Syria and are supported by USA-Israel-NATO with the help of Jordan-Saudis-Qatar – Turkey.
Perhaps I missed, perhaps I didn’t. The USA and friends could’ve achieved a lot with talks, implicitly legitimizing the terrorists and getting a foot in the door, getting a “share” from the power in Syria. This is without firing a single bullet.
