Idlib De-Escalation Agreement Is Shrinking Amid New Violations

Illustrative image, by SANA

On November 15, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported new violations of the Russian-Turkish deconfliction agreement by militants in the northern Hama countryside.

In details, two units of Jaysh al-Izza and another unnamed radical group attempted to sneak from their positions in the towns of al-Lataminah and al-Zakat towards military positions in the government-held part of the northern Hama countryside. However, the SAA detected both units and targeted them.

“Accurate shelling forced the terrorist infiltrators to run away towards their hideouts and positions in the outskirt of the demilitarized zone and many of them were killed and injured,” the SANA’s reporter in Hama said.

Militants in the northern Hama countryside violate the deconfliction agreement on a daily basis. A Syrian source had warned that these repeated violations may eventually force the SAA and its allies to launch a military operation in the region.

I been wondering what exactly are they waiting for, but then the answer is kind of obvious I think. turks are getting ready to attack american interest so they dont want to spoil her plans and not get fully engage because of an attack on idlip.

When they fully engage with the kurds there, I think that be the right moment also syrians to go into idlip.

S Melanson

That is how I see it too.

I think the plans for Idlib were made long ago…..we are just watching the execution of that plan…. Turkey is in it….and they can deal with the Turds, a free hand so to speak & force them back in line again…and they love to deal with the Turds… Idlib was destined to Fail from the moment it started…

Promitheas Apollonious

I wish it was that simple as you suggesting.

Merijn

Most of the time I try to keep it simple…basically everything is still possible… but in my opinion new developments still look optimistic….Chaos in Europe, IsraHell & the U.S.A….Puppeticians in Big Trouble…NATO won’t be able to make a fist…the Alliance is Divided, Fragmented, Unilateral and Irrational.

Russia must stop playing peace with Turkey, and better help Syria to destroy terrorists in Idlib. The Russia-Turkey agreement was designed (by Turkey) to help terrorists (under its protection) rather to help Syria people. Idlib is Syria land and belong to Syria people, the rerrorits and Turkish must be get out of here or be eliminated.

Brother Ma

I agree ,either Putin planned Idlib agreement to stop the chemical attacks or he was fooled by Erdogan and America. Either way he now needs to pound Turco rats. I would bring in tourist visa stops and Tomato import bans from Turkey. This will send a message to Erdogan ,that he needs to go in and clean his Turco shit and leave with his army as well! Quick smart!

MORE INFIGHTING IN IDLIBISTAN…..THE MORE HEADCHOPPERS KILL EACHOTHER THE BETTER IT IS…

RichardD

The Syrian government coalition will take as much help as the Turks can provide. And once the Turks can no longer deliver progress, the SAA and company will finish the job themselves.
