Four small Free Syrian Army groups operating within the Idlib de-escalation zone have merged with the Turkish-backed militant group Faylaq al-Sham, according to their statements released this week.
These very groups were closely allied with Nour al-Din al-Zinki, which was recently defeated by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the area. Experts link this move with their attempt to save themselves from a possible Hayat Tahrir al-Sham attack.
Meanwhile, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, which currently controls most of the “de-escalation zone”, is working to consolidate forces of militant groups, which are still not under direct control of its leadership. The group is reportedly working to strengthen positions in northwestern Hama, from which the defeated members of the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation are set to withdraw.

WTF is going on. Erdogan’s recruiting the very worst of the worst into his forces, if this keeps up, HTS will end up becoming the most moderate of the 2 groups. Faylaq al-Sham started off fighting for the US, then went to the Saudis, and is now with the Turks, if Assad had enough spare cash he could probably convince them to switch to his side as well, that’s if he wanted them on his side. What a bunch of whores they are, and head chopping murderers as well, that’s why the US had to give so many of them the boot, too many photos of them eating dead SAA soldiers livers, chopping off people’s heads, trampling over dead bodies, and raping women, Isis’s twin brother if Isis had one. The US didn’t like that but the Saudis didn’t mind, so I wonder how Erdogan will react when photos appear of his Faylaq al-Sham troops chopping off Kurds heads, trampling over their dead bodies, and then raping the Kurdish women afterwards, will he be shocked, LOL, will he be embarrassed LOL, or will he be proud, mmm, maybe. The Turks are saying that Trump will let them set up a safe zone in Syria and man it too, I wonder if he’s also going to tell us that Trumps agreed to let Faylaq al-Sham man the OB posts with the Kurds blessings as well as Donalds.
