Russian warplanes wiped out several vehicles of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in southern Idlib on November 12.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that eight terrorists were killed and at least five others were injured in the Russian airstrikes.
In an unusual incident, angry locals attacked the terrorists, who survived the Russian airstrikes, with sticks and stones, killing at least one of them.
“The Syrian Observation documented an attack by the civilians, who beat the survivors with sticks and stones, as result one of the militants died after receiving a hit with a sharp tool,” the SHOR’s report reads.
HTS has not commented on the Russian airstrikes, nor on the incident that followed them, so far. The terrorist group usually makes tremendous efforts to hide its losses.
Idlib is witnessing increasing tension between HTS and the majority of locals. Over the last few months, the terrorist group’s taxes skyrocketed while the services provided by its dummy government are almost non-existent. This led to direct clashes in some areas.

Let’s not forget that HTS was not so long ago stopping these very same civilians from fleeing the combat zone, turning them back on the highways and forcing them to return to the combat zone, and perhaps even forcibly conscripting some of them into HTS, paybacks are a bitch, LOL.
