Members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) have kidnapped 2 members of the Red Crescent Movement near the city of Idlib in northwestern Syria.
According to the representative of the Red Crescent quoted by Russian media, militants did this to seize humantiarain aid and prevent the delivery of aid to civilians.
There is no secret that an overwhelming majority of humanitarian aid delivered to Idlib via various channels and from different sources ends in the hands of various radical militant groups. However, this does not mean that supplied radicals have some warm feelings towards the source of this humantiarain aid.
