On November 14, the Saudi-UAE-led coalition temporarily halted its advance on the Houthi-held port city of al-Hudaydah in western Yemen. The advance was launched in early November in a fresh attempt to capture this strategic logistical hub from the Houthis. Initially, coalition forces achieved some progress in their operation, but then faced a strong resistance from the local forces and were not able to develop the momentum. Over 1,300 members of coalition-led forces had been reportedly killed by the Houthis since November 1.
Currently, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and their proxies are resupplying their assault force and preparing for another attempt to capture the city, according to local sources.
Good.
It really confuses me that Houthies are colored as green here while Saudi and UAE coalition is red. -_- Makes more sense to reverse these colors… Imo at least.
I must admit, I agree, not just because of the colours though.
How are they resupplying their forces in Hodeidah. Are the Houthi forces that cut off supply lines south of Hodeidah just waving the convoys through to go and resupply? I do not think so.
Naval resuppy not possible and vulnerability to anti-ship missiles which Houthis have. AirDrop difficult as supplies can land in Houthi territory as happened in Afghanistan. Drops more accurate if fly low but then aircraft vulnerable. Also, Coalition not able to supply sufficiently like the case at Stalingrad.
Wait, I don’t understand these maps?
Did the Coalition withdraw from their positions in and around Houdeydah to back where it says “Southern Neighbourhoods”? Or are thery still occupying the hospital on the west coast and still around the eastern side of the city?
Nevermind, I got the picture. However, one zoomed out map to put everything in perspective would have been less confusing.
saudis broke the truce… heavy bombing in hudayda on the way
Also, Houthi’s deny any ceasefire in Hudaydah. Clashes still ongoing.
If Yemen forces fuck these 4000 Saudi terrorists then nobody will fight for Saudis bone saw regime.
1300 lost since the 1st?
If those numbers are true, then Oh my thats a high number, the Saudi/Coalition really is incredible incompetant in waging wars, or the Houthis is just doing a damn good job at defending.
