In Maps: Military Situation In Yemen’s Areas Of Hudaydah, Hajjah And Saadah

Forces loyal to the Saudi-UAE-led coalition are developing their low-grade operation against the Houthis in Yemen. Despite the lack of  successes, the coalition is still aiming to achieve a kind of military victory in its effort against the Yemeni movement. The main clashes are currently taking place south of the port city of al-Hudaydah and in the provinces of Hajjah and Saadah.

Last summer, the coalition carried out a large military operation in an attempt to capture al-Hudaydah from the Houthis. However, it failed to achieve any success in this effort and its forces retreated to the south.

And then MbS awakens from his dream to now face the real world…

FlorianGeyer

I am looking forward to Mbs entering the next world :)

What do you think of this new advance they’re trying?

S Melanson

Excuse the delay, have been busy.

My thoughts on this advance is much like my thoughts of all previous offensives – this offensive will fail as well despite the article giving the appearance that the Coalition offensive is making major gains. Note that my comment you replied to alludes to my belief it is just the coalition dreaming as the reality is far different.

And Southfront has just posted an article that the offensive failed, just like the previous ones. I see these Coalition attempts as trying to keep up the appearance that the Coalition still holds the initiative and possibly to try to distract the Houthis enough to disrupt Houthi operations in KSA.

the Houthis will continue their operations in KSA and intensify them until the Coalition ends the war and blockade – i.e. a coup to take down MbS. the opposition to MbS handling of Yemen war is growing and now beginning to come out into the open.

I expect MbS will be taken down soon – this could happen in a number of ways and i will keep an eye out for clues..

The Houti counter-attack is inevitable.

The houthis can’t win unless Russia gives them large numbers of Kornet anit tank missiles.

The Houthi’s and Ansar Allah are winning. This war has been going on since 2015, yet the Saudi’s and UAE have really nothing to show for. They are being outmaneuvered, outflanked, and outclasses all along the way. Plus the hired Mercs don’t even come close to the caliber of fighters the Houthi’s are.

And on top of all this, U.S., British, and French Special Forces are aiding the Saudi coalition, yet have not been able to turn the tide. Who knew that the Saudi capital itself is constantly coming under ballistic missile strikes, and some oil and gas infrastructure of both the UAE and Saudi Arabia are also coming under regular bombardment.

In a few years time, the battle will have shifted inside the two countries of UAE and Saudi Arabia, with Riyadh under siege. Watch and see.

The Houthi’s are a bunch of hardcore, bad-ass guys, not to be messed with. MBS opened a can of worms upon himself.

I wonder does marines landing military drills in Syria have smth in common with Yemen war?

Why cant there be a large high megapixel map one can zoom around in? Hard to get a good sense with these local area maps.
