In Maps: Yemeni Forces Continue Their Push To Encircle Coalition’s Stronghold Of Qatabah

Ansar Allah (also known as the Houthis) and their allies have been developing their operation to encircle the town of Qatabah, which is one of the key stronghold of forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in the province of Dhale.

The advances are now ongoing in the two main areas:

• north of Qatabah, along the M45 highway;
• northwest of Qatabah, to the west from Qardah;

In the upcoming days, Yemeni forces will likely make an attempt to establish full control of the  roads north and west of Qatabah and then will push to outflank the town. In the event of success, Saudi-led forces will have little chances to defend their stronghold.
