On January 28, pro-government forces, led by units of the Tiger Forces, liberated the key town of Maarat al-Numan and the nearby Wadi Al-Deif military base from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies. In the coming days, the Syrian Army will likely continue developing its offensive operations against terrorists in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone.

At this point, I think the SAA would be better off just burying Kabani and all the head-chopper rat tunnels there under a few meters of dirt with an extra layer of concrete on top ‘just to be sure’. Flooding it with ten meters of water would work, too, but I don’t think they have that much up in the mountains. In either case, the jihadis won’t be able to hold their breath for that long.
Syrians can dig out Kabani and the bones of the head-choppers in six months and rebuild the city.
Don’t worry, South Idlib is practically toast already, and soon SAA will be knocking on the doors of Jisr Shogur with no enemies behind them.
i wonder how the turkish outposts in SAA-land get their supplies. does anybody know more about this fact?
