The Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL) announced on July 30 that a new batch of its militants had completed military training.
The NFL’s new recruits were trained on “special missions”. Photos from the training camp show them using heavy weapons such as machine guns, battle tanks and recoilless rifles. The training course was held in the northwestern region of Greater Idlib.
This was the fifth batch of Turkish-backed militants to complete “special mission” training since the signing of the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement on March 5.

The NFL is using the ceasefire in Greater Idlib to boost its offensive capabilities. Other groups in the region, including al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are doing exactly the same.
Recent reports revealed that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies are preparing to launch a new operation in Greater Idlib.
The militants in the region are preparing to repel any new attack. The NFL and HTS deployed reinforcements in southern Idlib and put their forces on high-alert, especially in the Zawiya Mount region.
Turkey, which deployed thousands of troops in Greater Idlib over the past few months, is doing nothing to stop the provocations of the remaining militants in the region. The SAA and its allies may soon take matters into their own hands.

I think these patrols were a trick by Russia to collect information about the Jihadi movements and fortifications along the M4 highway.
I guess they collected enough.

Russia has the 5th army corps and it’s 25th division elite tiger forces and Erdogan’s got his golden boys too, and the NFL are Erdogan’s golden boys. They get the best training, best weapons, best equipment, highest wages, the most logistical support, and most importantly of all, direct Turkish military support as well if thing go badly, so they’re the tip of the spear as far as Erdogan’s concerned, and the SAA too, they should be shadowing these guys all the time, they’ll probably be the vanguard of any new assault by the opposition. BTW SF, why have you changed your language so much lately, it used to be most opposition forces were described as terrorists, now it seems they’re instead being described as militants, rebels, and opposition forces, I wonder why we’ve altered the terms we used to use.
