The joint forces of Russia, the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republic seized a lot of foreign-made military equipment left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at their military positions on the front lines in the Donbass.

I don’t understand what war this is?! What are these trophies for? War starts to win, not to show half a dozen trophies! Honestly, I’m disillusioned with the Russian commanders. It seems they don’t know anything about war. The enemy has communications, conducts interviews from inside the bunker, has the internet and cell phones, have the railway lines intact to circulate, the roads in good condition and the bridges, anyway. How the fuck would reading any of those authors explain the Russian military’s lack of desire to destroy a rail line or a grouping of fighters parked in the open on the runway in a fully functional airport in odessa? Nobody knows what Russias deal is, my guess they planed on taking back the full border of the DPR and LPR and thought they be welcomed more places in the east. They were not. So now they are simply trying to secure the Donbas.

There are certain pressure points that Russia has focused on:
1. Mariupol 2. The prior buildup of 60k Ukrainian troops in eastern Ukraine set to attack LPR and DPR. 3. #2 is slowly being surrounded now.
Rail lines westward have effectively been cut. Many of them. You are not seeing the effects of that yet, but you will.
These are for reverse engineering. In that way they can assess NATO tech. Regarding, comms, rails, power, etc. Russia would probably say they are merely complying with laws of war. I would speculate however that they do not have enough missiles. They must be running out of these. Seems the most missile reports we have, happen in the front lines and if you look at the number, you would gauge that stockpiles are indeed dwindling.
However, if you look at the population deportation happening, it seems that Russia is still trying to sway the Ukrainian populace on their side. A hit on the above targets will work against the idea of swaying the population.
I don’t think this missile talk, or lack thereof, is a problem. It is more propaganda than reality. Regarding population, that’s even weirder; why are Russians dying in the war to spare Ukrainians?

You are underinformed. Many bridges, roads and railroads have been destroyed. The whole overall effect is as a boa constrictor. And much of the materiel flowing into Ukraine is flowing nearly straight to DPR and LPR.

All these junk weapons are getting Ukrainian NAZIS KILLED in the killing fields of Eastern Ukraine. It’s like bringing a sling shot to a tank battle.
Ukrainian troop ate fighting WW1 out there, in the trenches, with minimum artillery, old ATGMs and a few drones. When the troops get killed, fresh untrained troops replace the dead and butchering continues tomorrow. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
