The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) deployed additional troops and equipment from the 7th Division on the frontlines in the northern Hama countryside on May 26.
A source in the 7th Division told SouthFront that these reinforcements could participate in future military operations against Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the region. However, he declined to provide additional information.
A Facebook page affiliated with the 7th Division released several photos showing T-55 battle tanks, BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), Shilka anti-aircraft vehicles and 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers.
Earlier, the SAA resumed its ground operations in northern Hama and recaptured the town of Kafr Nabudah in a rapid surprise attack. Several fighters of HTS were reportedly killed or captured.
The deployment of these troops indicate that the army could be planning to develop its military operation in northern Hama. The key towns of al-Lataminah, Murak, Kafr Zita are all possible targets.

They look happy and eagre, that’s good, I keep hearing about the bad morale of the SAA troops but they can’t be referring to these guys, they look as if they’re chaffing at the bit to get stuck into the rebels. Go get em boys, don’t leave any alive for the Russians to hand back to Erdogan as prisoners, you’ll only have to fight them again if you do.
GOOD LUCK HEROES OF SYRIA! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9b970b03a5b49656a7511226b9a071ebea2b2be4a06b7eee5f27946b2aafca6b.gif
