Turkey’s proxies in Syria have been preparing to take part in any new Turkish operation against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
On June 2 and 3, the Revolutionaries Committee for Liberation and the Liberation and Construction Movement, two semi-independent coalitions made up of several factions from the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army, shared photos showing their ongoing preparations for a possible operation against the Kurdish-led group.
The photos show hundreds of Turkish-backed militants armed with heavy weapon like truck-mounted heavy machine guns, battle tanks and mortars and howitzers conducting live-fire drills in northern and northeastern Syria.

The preparations for a new operation against the SDF began last month, when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country will move to complete the creation of a 30-kilometer safe zone in Syria.
Very recently, Erdogan revealed that the main targets of any new operation in Syria will be the SDF-held towns of Tell Rifaat and Manbij in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The SDF has been preparing to face a new operation by the Turkish military and its proxies. The Russian and Syria armies, who maintain a presence in areas held by the group in northern and northeastern Syria, have been also taking concert steps to deter Turkey. For example, Russia recently deployed fighter jets, attack helicopters and air defense systems in al-Qamishli Airport in the northeastern region.
Russia has already warned Turkey that a new operation against the SDF will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe in Syria. The US, the SDF’s main backer, made a similar warning. However, some observers believe that Ankara wouldn’t have made preparations for such an operation without some sort of an agreement with Washington.

PKK and YPG are the two main groups that makeup SDF – they are recruiting people (Arab Syrian/Syrian) like ISIS. SDF can’t even fight SAA nor Turk-isis-stan. SDF = Turkey’s proxies.
