Another close-in fighting in Ukrainian trenches was filmed by Russian drone. Russian servicemen launched the mop up operation in order to secure the newly capture Ukrainian positions.
One of the Ukrainian soldiers remaining in the trenches opened fire, but failed to kill the Russian servicemen. After several shots, the Russian soldier was more lucky, and he killed his enemy.
According to some reports, the video shows the actions of infantry units of the Luhansk People’s Republics. These are men, mostly volunteers, who had no special military experience, but who are fighting fiercely to protect their homes. The video confirms this.

What kind of war is this ? WWI ? Why doesn’t Russia just strike with heavy weapons this area and finish all ? With a high precision missile you can put a end to all of this without risking the life of any soldier.
You don’t know how trenches work do you? Trenches work by preventing artillery from leveling your forces by providing cover with angles and turns preventing blasts and shrapnel from taking out entire lines. Furthermore, you could use thermobaric weapons, but wouldn’t do much. By the time infantry push up on these positions, most of the defender are either dead, or dying. Those few that remain are just that, a few men scare and severely out gunned, desperate and have the option to surrender or die. You will always have stragglers when this type of warfare is occurring.
Trenches should not work on a modern battlefield. There is zero need for what he suggest but simple air bursting arty and mortar rounds would do the job…if Russia had them. If they could put them on target. They should not work with a SU25 that should be providing CAS and dropping cluster munitions into those positions, any survivors would find themselves in a live mine field…pinned in trench…. or napalm. Yet they work because Russia can provide none of this and sent 4 guys to clear it. The only modern equip in this war is the drone cameras. They should give em swords at this point!

Iv played this scenario out in my head a thousand times but the lpr soldier used his grip arm length to shoot at an angle where his body wasn’t exposed but the Ukrainian guy didn’t consider the importance and kept pushing with the gun almost shouldered resulting in him basically running into the rifle when he truly didn’t need to.

I read about the actual agreement Crimea had with Ukraine and was never honored going back to the formation of Ukraine after the Soviet Union. Again over 90% voted against Ukraine but Russia. However; the Donbas and Luhansk regions were mostly Russian speaking and since Ukronazis pulled language rights away from the country things unraveled. The Minsk accords was supposed to fix this but; as we would find years later and about 9 months in to war. Angela Mercle said the Minsk Agreements was a diversion in diplomacy to scam the Russians in to believing, all the while was only meant to buy time to arm the Ukrainian military.
