The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, released on July 12 video footage showing its fighters ambushing a unit of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The complex ambush took place in the Tell al-Hawa neighborhood near Gaza City. In the footage, Hamas fighters are seen rigging two buildings with explosive devices then setting up a number of cameras to monitor the situation. Once Israeli troops entered the kill zone, the fighters blew up the two buildings.
Following the second blast, mortars were fired at Israeli troops as they were evacuating casualties from the scene of the ambush.
While it is unclear if the ambush caused fatalities, the footage released by Hamas shows that the group’s defensive operations are becoming more effective.
Three other videos released on the same day by the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, showed recent mortar attacks on IDF troops and vehicles in Gaza City’s al-Sina’a area and Tell al-Hawa.
The IDF intensified its operations in Gaza City and nearby areas in recent weeks, displacing thousands of Palestinians and killing hundreds others.
According to the latest update by the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza, the Israeli war on the Strip has so far claimed the lives of 38,345 Palestinains and wounded more than 88,295 others. The vast majority of the victims were women and children.
Despite losing some 327 troops in Gaza ground operations and failing to achieve any of its main goals, Israel is showing no intention of ending the war.

hezbollah is limiting their attacks to military targets near the border only. they only attack civilians in the settlements in israel attacks civilians in lebanon. this is called escalation management. they do this because it is more attriting to israel and damages long-term growth by having a long period of sustained attacks as opposed to a quick war, which israel is used to. the settlers are displaced and israel appears powerless to stop it.

i partly understand your point, but i tell you, blocking ship travel into israel from mediterrainian sea, while houthis do same from red sea side, will isolate israel completely and make these parasites starve to death big time. that should be the aim of hezbollah and not “attrition & escalation management”. that’s my opinion.
