Clashes continue in different parts of the Gaza Strip, with the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions inflicting more losses on the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
On February 23, Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, released a video showing its fighters blowing up two tanks of the IDF with rocket-propelled grenades and firing mortars at Israeli gatherings in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood in the northern part of the Strip.
The video also shows an IDF helicopter evacuating a number of wounded Israeli troops from Gaza under fire after one of the attacks.
On the same day, the Mujahideen Brigades released video footage showing an attack with an improvised rocket on a building occupied by Israeli troops in the Zeitoun neighborhood. The group released another video on February 24 showing a rocket attack on a gathering of the IDF in the same area.
Also on February 24, the al-Quds Brigade, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, shared footage of recent rocket attacks on Israeli troops in the southern part of Gaza City.
The IDF has lost 237 troops since the start of ground operations in Gaza. More than 1,300 others have been reportedly wounded.
Palestinian civilians bore the brunt of recent Israeli attacks on Gaza. At least 92 were killed and 123 others were injured over the last 24 hours, the Hamas-run health ministry in the Strip said in a statement on February 24.
“The Israeli occupation committed eight massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, leaving 92 martyrs and 123 injured over the past 24 hours,” the statement said.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
The Israeli war on Gaza has so far claimed the lives of 29,606 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and left more than 69,737 injured.
Despite taking some losses and failing to achieve any of its declared goals, Israel is preparing to double down on the war by launching a large-scale offensive in the southern Gaza area of Rafah. More than one million Palestinains are taking shelter in the area, which is located right on the border with Egypt.
Hamas has already warned that an Israeli offensive in Rafah will lead to “tens of thousands” of casualties. Despite this, Israel appears to be determined to go on with its plans.

by all means, these helicopters and ambulances are enemy targets. israelis have no qualms about attacking hospitals, where there are no fighters, only wounded. they outright target women and children with their snipers, tanks, drones and planes…why the pass for israelis who would return to fight and kill civilians? those choppers need to get hit, possibly israel will think again before targeting innocents.
